It sounds like a fu...Congrats on your race Tawnee! It sounds like a fun race, and a great distance to get some good trail racing experience. I was just listening to the podcast with Maffetone, and it got me thinking on the competitive podium thing. Your goal going into this race was to run well, to enjoy yourself and to be sub 4 hrs to make your flight, so you totally nailed those goals. To judge yourself on being so close to the podium would be adjusting those goals after the race, and that's isn't fair to yourself. I totally get it though, and get the same way, especially in a race with an out and back! I was doing the same thing in my marathon, counting the women in front of me :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
